Stumbled into a little salon in Portland and noticed their setup was totally different from mine

I was visiting Portland last month and walked into this tiny salon called Fringe & Co. (cute name, right?) and noticed they had all their color stations arranged in a U-shape around one big central sink, which I had never seen before. It seemed like it made washing and mixing way faster because nobody had to walk across the room. Has anyone else tried rearranging their space like that or seen a layout that just clicked for you?

Heard a salon owner on a podcast rave about that U-shape setup for efficiency.

lee_barnes70 that's the thing about efficiency hacks like that, they usually come from someone who's been doing it long enough to know exactly where every second goes. It's the same reason kitchen layouts in restaurants are designed the way they are, you can feel the flow after a while. There's something satisfying about watching a space work hard for you once you figure out the rhythm.
