Shoutout to the hand sanitizer trick that fixed my foiling game
For my first 3 months in the booth I was spraying my hands with alcohol before foiling and somehow always ended up with slip and crooked sections near the crown. A stylist at a workshop in Mesa showed me to just rub a pea size drop of hand sanitizer between my palms instead, let it dry about 20 seconds, and the foil grips without sticking to my gloves. Did 6 highlight foils back to back last Tuesday with no sliding and my sections stayed clean the whole way through. It sounds so small but it shaved at least 15 minutes off my service. What little booth habits did you pick up that nobody teaches in school?
