My clippers died mid-fade on a Saturday at 4pm and I had a shop full of people
I was at my chair in Columbus finishing a skin fade on a regular when my clippers just quit, no warning, mid stroke. I had three guys waiting and one of them was a wedding party cut scheduled at 4:30. I grabbed my old backup pair from the drawer, oiled them fast, and finished the fade with a 0.5 guard and a lot of patience. The kid's cut actually came out cleaner than normal, but it took me 15 extra minutes and I comped his beard trim to say sorry. Now I keep a second pair charged and ready at all times, which honestly feels like something I should have done years back. Anyone else have a tool die at the worst possible moment, and what did you do right there in the chair?
