My $600 hot air brush sits in a drawer collecting dust
I bought that expensive hot air brush everyone raves about six months ago and honestly it was a mistake. It took forever to dry my hair and the curls fell out within an hour. I went back to my old $40 round brush and blow dryer combo and my hair actually looks better. Has anyone else had buyers remorse on a tool that the whole industry swears by?

Did you see that one beauty blogger did a whole comparison test and found the cheap drugstore brushes actually performed better for most hair types? I read about it on some reddit thread where people were ranting about these expensive tools and it totally tracks with what you're saying. The curl fell flat on me too, like I spent all that time and got nothing out of it except a sore arm from holding the thing up. There's something about that old school round brush and blow dryer combo that just works better, maybe because you have more control over the tension and heat.

My friend actually returned her expensive hot brush the next day and bought a $15 drugstore round brush, says her hair has never looked better! She said the cheap one gave her way more bounce without the awkward arm workout.
