Just read a study on skin damage from certain salon lights and it's got me worried

I was scrolling through some industry journals last night and came across a research paper from a university dermatology department. They tested the UV output from a bunch of common LED nail lamps and some of the results were pretty surprising. One specific model, which I won't name but is super popular in a lot of budget starter kits, was putting out more UVA rays than they expected, enough that repeated exposure could be a real concern over time. In my experience, we all just slap on the sunscreen for outdoor work and forget about the indoor stuff. This really made me pause and think about the long term for both us and our clients. I'm definitely going to start looking into UV-blocking gloves for everyone during gel services. Has anyone else seen this kind of data or made a switch in their setup because of it?

Totally saw that same study. Made me dig out my old lamp's manual and the specs were honestly scary. Just ordered a box of those fingerless gloves for my whole station.

Scary specs" is right, but what about the heat damage to your actual desk surface over time?
