Foils vs balayage for grey coverage... I was team foils until last month
I finally tried a partial balayage on a client with like 60% grey and it blended way better than my usual foil highlights. The regrowth was way less obvious at 6 weeks too. Has anyone else swapped methods for mature hair and seen a big difference?

Honestly, "way less obvious at 6 weeks" is exactly what I saw when I switched from foils to balayage on my own hair. I'm about 50% grey and done with that harsh line that shows up fast. The balayage just melted into my natural grey so much better, and I could stretch my appointments to almost 10 weeks. Foils gave me a brighter result at first, but the grow out was brutal. Balayage is way more forgiving, especially if you have more grey like that.
