Foil slip-up turned a balayage into a tie-dye situation

I was doing a full highlight in Dallas last Tuesday and grabbed the wrong section of foil, which pulled hair through the slit and left a big brassy stripe near the crown. I caught it before processing finished, so I did a quick root smudge with a demi color and toned the whole thing down. Has anyone else fixed a placement mistake mid-service, or did you just start over?

Wait, you actually pulled hair through the foil slit and just left it there while you kept working? That's wild, I would have panicked so hard I'd have ripped the whole foil out.
