Finally got my foil technique down after 6 weeks of frustration
I kept fighting with my foils slipping out of place whenever I tried to section and weave. It took me about 6 weeks of trial and error to realize I was cutting my sections way too wide. I switched to narrower, more precise sections and started using a clip to secure each foil as I went. Now my placements are staying put and the color is coming out way more even. Has anyone else struggled with foils sliding around like that?

Heard a stylist on a salon podcast talking about how wider sections always cause those slipping problems.

Right on about wider sections, that slipping is exactly why I stick to smaller ones even if it takes longer.
