Finally caved and tried that bonding oil I was skeptical about

I've been doing hair for about 8 years now, and I always thought those bonding treatments were just expensive conditioner. A stylist friend of mine who works over at Salon 23 in Austin kept pushing me to try this one brand, so I finally did on a client with overprocessed balayage last Tuesday. Her hair felt like straw before, and after one application it actually had some slip and bounce back. I'm still not sure if it's worth the price tag long term, but it definitely surprised me. Anyone else had a product they doubted turn out legit?

Heard some stylist on a podcast talking about how those oils work better on hair that's been processed multiple times versus virgin hair or something like that. Makes sense because my client's hair had been bleached twice in the last year, so maybe that's why it bounced back so fast. Still pretty wild how one product can change your whole opinion on a whole category.

Totally agree, once one thing clicks it changes how you see everything else too.
