Can we talk about using a bowl vs a paddle brush for mixing color?

I spent 2 years using a paddle brush to mix my color at the salon in Austin. Switched to a bowl last month and it's a total game changer. Way less waste and the color stays more even. Anyone else make that swap or still using the brush?

Bowls all the way for me. The paddle brush just leaves too much color stuck in the bristles and you end up wasting a good chunk of product. Plus, with a bowl you can really see if the color is mixed evenly before you start applying, no guessing games.

Ray210 nailed it about the waste issue. I kept thinking I was being efficient with the brush but ended up cleaning dried globs out of it every other day. Bowl gives you way more control and you can actually scrape every last bit of color off the sides.
