Appreciation post: My $400 investment in a proper color-correcting light
I finally bought a daylight-balanced lamp for my station after a client pointed out her highlights looked brassy at home... it was a game changer for seeing true tones. Anyone have a good brand for a portable one for house calls?

Honestly that seems like a huge waste of money. Most clients can't tell the difference under their own bathroom lights anyway. A good mirror with natural light from a window works just fine for most people.

Right? Feels like people get sold on stuff they don't really need. A simple setup does the job most of the time.
