Am I the only one who had a client demand a refund because their hair didn't look like the Pinterest photo?

Had a lady in here last Tuesday, she brings up a photo of some influencer with totally different hair texture and color than hers. I told her straight up, "Your hair is fine and straight, that girl has thick waves, I can't just make it do that." She got mad and asked for her $200 back, which I refused. Has anyone else dealt with clients who just don't get that hair has limits?

Ugh yeah that's just how everything is now with social media. People see a filtered photo of someone's vacation and think their own trip is supposed to look exactly like that. Same thing with food, outfits, even home decor. Nobody wants to accept reality anymore, they just want the perfect version they saw online.

Tbh I saw a TikTok from a stylist talking about this exact thing. She said she started asking clients to bring in a photo of their own hair goals instead of random influencer pics because the disconnect is insane. People really think we can just wave a magic wand and turn their fine straight strands into a whole different hair type. Your refusal was spot on.
