That $250 insulation kit for my container was a total scam
I bought this spray foam insulation kit online for $250 thinking it would save me time on my 20-foot container in Austin last month... the cans clogged after the first 2 panels and I had to toss the rest. Ended up hiring a local guy to do it right for $400 and he was done in 3 hours flat. Anyone else get burned by those DIY foam kits?

Read a YouTube comment saying those kits are just overpriced expanding foam in a can.

Dude @wren301 that comment is SPOT ON. It's the same thing that happens with "pet specific" stain removers - they're just enzyme cleaners with a dog on the label for triple the price. I see it in a bunch of stuff now. "Gaming chairs" are just office chairs with a red stripe and a 100 dollar markup. "Wedding flowers" cost double what you'd pay for the same bouquet on a Tuesday at the grocery store. Marketing is just finding a way to charge you more for the EXACT same thing.

lol "overpriced expanding foam in a can" hurts because it's kinda true. I've seen people pay like 50 bucks for a tiny can of that stuff when you can get a huge can of Great Stuff at the hardware store for 5 bucks. It's wild how much of a markup they slap on it just because it's for a "project" or a "hack.
