Spent $1800 on a DIY spray foam kit for my container - what a disaster

I figured I'd save cash by buying a froth pack from Home Depot and doing it myself. After watching a few videos I thought it looked easy but the gun clogged up after 2 minutes and I ended up with drips everywhere. The foam set uneven and now I've got cold spots I can't even reach to fix. Has anyone else tried self installing foam and ended up hiring a pro to rip it out?

My buddy Tom tried this exact thing on his shed last year. He bought a froth pack from Lowe's (not even the expensive stuff) and it came out looking like a melted marshmallow that got hit by a truck. The gun jammed on him after about 4 minutes of spraying, and he ended up with this thick goop all over his arms and clothes that took weeks to wash off. He had to call in a pro who quoted him $600 just to scrape the bad foam out and redo it properly. Now he tells everyone that DIY foam is basically a trap unless you’ve got experience with the equipment.

Yeah @michaelcoleman, your buddy Tom made the same mistake I did trying to frost a cake with a caulk gun.
