My roof seam weld failed after 6 months - fixed it with Flex Seal

Built my container home last summer in Maine, and one of the roof seams started leaking this January during a heavy snow melt. I ground out the old weld, hit it with two coats of Flex Seal liquid, and it's been bone dry through 3 rainstorms since. Anyone else have luck with backup sealants on roof joints?

Heard a guy on a homesteading forum say Flex Seal works better than most people give it credit for on container roofs. Said he's had a patch holding for over two years now in the PNW rain.
