Is spray foam actually ruining my container's resale value?

I read a post on a shipping container forum that said 70% of buyers won't touch a container with spray foam insulation because it hides rust and makes repurposing a nightmare. That stat surprised me, since most of the builds I see on here swear by it for temperature control. Has anyone else run into this when selling or buying, or is that number just scaremongering from the panel guys?

Sold two containers last year, one with spray foam and one with just plywood lining. The foam one sat for three months longer and I had to drop the price by about 15%. The buyer said straight up he'd have to strip it all out to run new wiring, and that was a dealbreaker for a lot of people he knew. I also noticed the foam hid a small rust spot on the roof that I didn't catch until I was cleaning it out, which is probably where that 70% fear comes from. If you're putting foam in, make sure you've got super clear photos of the bare metal before it goes in, or you'll eat that cost on the back end.
