I went with a single 40ft container instead of two 20ft ones and honestly it was the right call

Everyone in my local group told me to stack two 20 footers for more floor space and easier layout. But my lot in Phoenix is narrow and I wanted a simple open floor plan. After 8 months living in it I can say the single 40ft works way better for me. No weird seams, no extra insulation headaches, just one long room that feels bigger than it is. Anyone else go against the grain on container size?

Rolled with a 20 footer myself and honestly wish I'd gone bigger like you did. Felt real clever saving money upfront until I tried fitting a couch in there and realized I was basically living in a hallway. Your setup probably breathes way better without that weird seam down the middle too. Sometimes being stubborn about the "right way" pays off, especially when you're dealing with a narrow lot in Phoenix. Take it from someone who learned the hard way, your gut call was smart.
