Nah, there's a pretty big misconception floating around here. People act like prefab containers are some magical shortcut but they really aren't. The setup costs for a container can sneak up on you fast. You gotta pay for delivery, crane rental, site prep, insulation, electrical, plumbing - all that stuff adds up quick. Building from scratch lets you control every expense and skip things you don't actually need. It's just not true that containers always come out cheaper when you factor in all the hidden fees.

So what did your own site prep and foundation end up running you when you went the traditional route? That's usually the part people forget to price out.

Heard a contractor say containers just trade one set of costs for another, right?
