Why does nobody talk about how hard it is to match beige undertones?
Spent 3 hours in Home Depot last Sunday holding up swatches to my living room wall. Took 7 different paint chips home. Every single one pulled pink or yellow or green in my afternoon light. Had a paint guy tell me to just "go with a warm greige" like that means something specific. My wall still looks like a band-aid. Has anyone dealt with beige being impossible to get right?

Paint that bandaid looking wall and call it "artistic beige" like the rest of us, nobody will know the difference.

Right? Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do to get through the day. It's a real struggle when the paint job is that bad but you're already committed.

Back when I was painting my old house I had this one spot where the original color just would not cover. I tried three coats and it still looked patchy in the afternoon light. Finally I just cut my losses and threw a big piece of furniture in front of it until I could afford to redo the whole thing. Sometimes you have to accept good enough and move on before you lose your mind.
