Spent 3 months on a warm palette for a cafe in Austin, then the owner said it felt too cold
I finished a menu board for a coffee shop near South Congress last week, used all warm tones like burnt orange and tan. The owner said it gave off a cool vibe, which threw me off completely. Three months ago I tested a cool blue scheme for a bakery in Denver, but they said it felt sterile. Now I wonder if color temperature is more about personal feel than any rule. Maybe my eye for warmth is broken, or maybe clients just say random stuff. Is there a trick to checking if a palette reads warm before delivery?
