Honestly, evand65 nailed it, vague feedback like that just wastes everyone's time.

That's not really an unpopular opinion, that's just a bad boss. "Doesn't feel right" isn't feedback you can work with. They should have pointed to something specific, like the palette being too energetic for a restorative yoga studio, or the greens feeling too corporate instead of earthy. A good creative director explains the why.
