The $20 gradient card pack beat my monitor calibration
I spent $200 on a calibration tool and still couldn't match skin tones in my mockups. Then I grabbed a cheap gradient card set at a print shop in Nashville for $20 and just held it next to my screen. Has anyone else found that physical samples work better than expensive software fixes?

My buddy in ATL swears by those cheap Munsell chips from art stores, says his $4k monitor still can't match a greasy fast food wrapper under fluorescent lights. Honestly, once I started eyeballing Pantone books next to my laptop, I stopped trusting the numbers altogether.
