Spent an hour deciding between navy and charcoal for my landing page header

I was building a mockup for a freelance gig and got stuck on whether the hero section should use a deep navy or a dark charcoal background. Went with charcoal because it felt softer against the white text, but now the whole page looks kind of flat and muted. Did I pick wrong or do I just need a brighter accent color to bring it back to life?

Charcoal with white text is just a dark website, lol.

It's basically dark mode with extra steps, I guess.
