Saw a church with beige walls and yellow trim that totally clashed - who picks these combos?
I visited St. Mary's in Portland last weekend and the whole place was beige walls with this weird mustard yellow trim that just fought each other. It made the space feel drab and closed in instead of warm and open. Do you think the person who picked those colors just played it safe with neutrals or actually thought that looked good?

Beige and mustard yellow actually come from the same earth tone family... they're supposed to go together, but that shade of yellow is just too harsh for the beige they used. A softer butter yellow would've worked way better.

Oh come on, is this really something worth getting wound up about? I mean yeah bad color combos are annoying but it's just a paint job at the end of the day. Who cares if some volunteer picked a slightly off shade of yellow, the church is still standing and doing its thing.
