Sat in my car for 20 minutes after a client meeting in Rochester because I finally got why my accent palette never felt right
For two years I picked accent colors by eyeballing them on my bright laptop screen at 10pm, and the client in Rochester politely pointed at two swatches on her wall and asked why the 'orange' looked brown. Turns out both accents had nearly the same gray value, so they turned to mush the second I printed them, and I never checked value once in all that time. Do you all pick accents by hue first or do you test the gray version before anything else?
