Question about a client's website bounce rate after a palette change

I redid a local bakery's site palette last month, switching from a bright yellow and brown combo to a soft peach and cream scheme. Their bounce rate dropped from 65% to 42% in just three weeks (I checked the analytics yesterday). The old colors were just too harsh and loud for a food site, I think it made people click away fast. Has anyone else seen a big shift in user behavior just from tweaking the main colors?

Wow, that's a huge drop. My last color tweak just made a site look like a bad hospital website, so I'm clearly no expert.

Right when you said you’ve totally done that, I knew exactly what you meant because that feeling is so common. But what was the drop exactly? Was it a font size change or a whole layout shift that made the site feel off? I’ve messed with margins before where I shaved off ten pixels on mobile and the whole page went from clean to cluttered in one second. It’s wild how one little tweak can break everything you thought was solid. Did you catch it right away or did you have to undo a bunch of stuff to figure out what went wrong?
