I finally picked colors for our playroom, but my spouse HATES it.

I chose bright reds and yellows to make the space fun and energetic for our kids. My spouse wants soft blues and greens because they think it should be a calm area. Our toddler gets REALLY excited with the vibrant colors, but my spouse says it feels too loud. I believe bold colors spark creativity, while they argue it causes overstimulation. This is a big debate in our house about design for family rooms. How do you balance kid appeal with adult comfort in color palettes?

That calm space helps everyone, not just the kid.

Consider how overstimulated toddlers act out (making everyone miserable). Calm colors actually help kids settle down for creative play instead of just winding them up.
