Hot take: warm tones always win in nature photos but cool tones rule urban shots
Last month I was editing a set from a hike in North Carolina where my autumn forest shots looked amazing with warm oranges and golds, but the cityscapes from Asheville downtown felt flat until I switched to icy blues and grays, so do you guys think the setting should dictate the palette or should you just go with what feels right regardless of the subject?

Is it really that deep though? Like, I get that some shots have a vibe that leans one way, but labeling cool tones as just "moody and depressed" feels like a reach. A rainy street at night with cool blues can be just as beautiful as a golden sunset, maybe it's just about what you're trying to say with the photo.
