A client told me 'just make it pop' and I'm still thinking about it

I used a bright accent color on their website, but they said it felt cheap. Now I'm stuck between thinking 'pop' means vibrant contrast versus subtle, high-end shifts. Has anyone else decoded this phrase into actual hex codes?

Honestly that phrase is a classic. It usually means they want something to feel expensive, not just bright. Try a deep, rich color against a neutral background, or a small metallic accent. What kind of business is the client in?

Wait, you're telling me "luxurious" doesn't just mean gold?

I actually see it a bit different. Most people who say "make it pop" just want something that stands out from their competitors, not necessarily something that screams high end. A muted gold on a deep navy can feel way more "pop" than a bright accent color that clashes with everything.
