Vent: People keep saying you need a $500 grinder for good coffee. My $80 one from the hardware store makes a cup just as good.

Nah, it's not about the price tag. That $80 grinder probably makes a ton of fines. You just can't taste them in your brew method. A better grinder gives you way more control.

Wait hold up. Your $80 grinder is from a hardware store? Like a drill attachment or something? That's wild. I burned through two of those cheap ones in like six months before I gave up. The plastic gears just stripped out on the first bag of beans.
