The $80 burr grinder I bought in 2019 is still the best coffee money I've ever handed over
Back when I started getting into coffee I was using a $15 blade grinder and wondering why my cups tasted like dust and regret. Then I put $80 into a simple burr grinder at a shop in Portland and the difference hit me on the first pour, same beans, same dripper, totally different cup. Five years later it is still on my counter and still grinding even, though the hopper lid cracked and I taped it back together. It feels like the old days when you bought one thing and just used it forever instead of chasing new gear every year. What is the one piece of coffee gear that has stuck with you the longest?
