Finally beat my milk frothing nemesis after 4 straight mornings

I kept getting thin, bubbly foam no matter what I did with my steam wand. Turns out I was angling the pitcher wrong and also starting with cold milk straight from the fridge. Watched like 6 different barista videos but the tip that stuck came from a random comment on a forum: let the milk sit on the counter for 10 minutes first. After 4 failed attempts across two weeks, I got that silky microfoam today and almost yelled. The texture was actually glossy and poured clean into my latte art. Has anyone else had a basic step hide in plain sight for way too long?

Ha, come on now! You almost yelled over milk foam? I get being frustrated but we're talking about coffee here, not brain surgery. Cold milk from the fridge seems like a pretty obvious thing to fix though, I mean, who hasn't made that mistake? But honestly, if it took you four mornings and six videos to figure out, maybe the problem wasn't the milk, it was you overthinking the whole thing. Next you'll be telling me you had a breakthrough with how you hold your spoon. Just drink the coffee, man.
