Warning: I hit 200 failed print jobs before realizing my monitor was lying to me

I kept blaming the printer for dull greens and muddy blues but it was my cheap monitor showing colors way too bright (like 30% off from reality). Anyone else have a moment where you realized your screen was the enemy, not the CMYK conversion?

Yeah @gavinwood, you'd be surprised. My prints looked awful up close. Get a cheap calibrator, it pays for itself.

Is 30% really that bad? Most people can't tell the difference unless they're side by side. Bet your prints still looked fine to anyone else.
