Showerthought: the prepress guy in Cleveland warned me about navy blue, and 300 business cards proved him correct
When I sent my dark navy logo to press last week, the prepress guy in Cleveland said to bump the K down and swap in a rich black mix or it would look muddy on cardstock. I ignored him (it looked fine on my monitor), and all 300 cards came back looking like washed out charcoal instead of the deep navy I picked. Has anyone else had a specific spot color go flat like that, and what mix actually held up for you?
