Pro tip: I picked CMYK over RGB for my wedding invite file and the print shop saved me
My sister asked me to design her wedding invites in March and I nearly sent the file in RGB since the colors looked so bright on my laptop. The print guy at a shop in Dayton called me and said the teal would come out muddy if I kept it in RGB, so I switched the whole file to CMYK and picked a slightly darker blue to match. First proof came back and the teal was close but a little flat, so I bumped the cyan up 8 percent and the second proof matched what I saw on screen. Has anyone else had luck adjusting one channel at a time like this, or do you rebuild the file from scratch when it happens?
