I thought soft proofing was a scam until my $60 orange print from Walgreens last month
Ordered a batch of photos in sRGB because the kiosk said it was fine, and every single one with orange in it came back looking like someone rubbed mud on it, which finally got me to set my monitor to the actual printer profile before I send anything out again, so now I'm wondering if anyone here recalibrates for every different lab or just sticks with one place.
