I kept getting muddy greens until I checked my screen's color profile
Last month I printed a batch of fliers for a local park cleanup event and the grass came out this gross brownish mess. Turns out my monitor was set to a generic RGB profile instead of sRGB for 3 years straight. I switched it and now my greens actually look like grass on paper. Has anyone else had a bad print surprise from a forgotten profile setting?

Oh man, that brownish grass thing is the worst, totally feel your pain lol.

Do you ever wonder how many prints you messed up before you caught the problem? I used to think color profiles were just some techy thing for photographers and didn't matter for regular folks like me. Then I printed a whole set of birthday party invites with these bright red balloons that came out looking like rust on the paper. Took me two weeks and a lot of frustration to finally check my settings and realize I was running in Adobe RGB instead of sRGB. Now I check my monitor calibration before every big print job, even if it feels a little obsessive. That one little switch made a night and day difference in how my colors turn out on paper.
