Hot take: My print shop guy in Denver told me to stop fixing files in RGB, and it saved my whole week
I brought him a poster design on Monday that looked amazing on my screen, all bright greens and oranges. He printed a small test and it came out muddy and brown, and I was ready to blame his machine. Then he said, "You're editing in RGB, so you're tuning colors the printer can't even make." We switched the file to CMYK and suddenly the greens went flat but the oranges held up fine. I redid the whole thing in about 40 minutes and the final run of 50 posters looked way better than my first try. Now I want to know, do you all convert to CMYK early or wait until the very end?
