Found a weird trick for matching screen blues to print using a $5 color checker card
Last Tuesday my neon blue poster came out looking like a washed-out denim jacket, and after messing with CMYK sliders for an hour I grabbed one of those cheap color calibration cards from the art store and held it up to the monitor to manually adjust - has anyone else tried using physical reference cards instead of trusting your screen at all?

Yup, I did the exact same thing with a postcard and it actually worked.

Wait, did you actually mail it or did you just put it up somewhere? (I ask because I've seen people confuse the two things before, no offense to you @adamcoleman). I tried the postcard trick on a different project and it worked, but I had to address it to the right person and add a stamp. The way I see it (and I'm sure you know this) the trick is making sure it actually gets into someone's hands who can do something about it. Otherwise you're just leaving a note in the wind, so to speak.
