That 'quick' cardboard mockup for a friend's product ended up costing me 3 days
I volunteered to help a buddy test a new phone stand design for his Etsy shop. Spent like 4 hours cutting and taping this thing, only to realize the angle was off by 15 degrees because I rushed the measurements. Anyone else ever have a cardboard prototype that took way longer than you thought?

It's always the "quick" things that turn into a whole project. Life's full of that bait and switch.

The cardboard curse is REAL. I spent two full afternoons trying to make a simple prototype for a kitchen gadget idea, ended up with a floppy mess held together with way too much tape. The THING looked like it was made by a child, not a frustrated adult. You'd think cardboard and tape would be easy, but no, you have to measure SEVEN times and cut once or you'll be redoing the whole angle until your fingers are sore. Three days for a phone stand sounds about right for the "quick" stuff that bites back.
