Spent $80 on a special "fast-dry" glue for cardboard... what a joke

I saw this glue advertised online for making cardboard prototypes cure in like 5 minutes instead of waiting overnight. Seemed perfect since I was building a mockup for a new planter box design last Saturday. I dropped $80 on a gallon of the stuff, got all excited, and started gluing my flaps together. Two hours later nothing was dry, it was still sticky and peeling apart, and my whole project was a wobbly mess. My buddy Dave just laughed and said he uses plain old Elmer's for a fraction of the price. Turns out the "fast-dry" label was just marketing fluff and it dries the same as the cheap stuff. Has anyone else fallen for a fancy product that did the exact opposite of what it promised?

Paid forty bucks one time for a "non-stick" spray for my saw blades. Supposed to keep resin from building up on the teeth after cutting pine. First cut, the whole blade looked like it got dipped in honey. Had to scrape it off with a putty knife for an hour. At least your glue didn't ruin your project, just made you wait. I ended up throwing the can in the trash and going back to just wiping the blade with a rag like a cave man.

Yeah but an hour with a putty knife sounds like an exaggeration.
