My neighbor saw my cardboard coffee table and asked why the legs were crooked
I built a quick cardboard mockup of a coffee table last weekend because I wanted to test the height before cutting any real wood. My neighbor Tom came over while I was taping it together and asked why two of the legs were crooked. I told him I did it on purpose to see how it looked from the couch, and he said 'so you are just gonna build it again anyway, why not just skip this part.' That hit different because I almost did skip it, but standing there looking at the wonky legs made me realize the table needed to be 3 inches lower than I thought. Has anyone else had someone question the cardboard stage and then been glad they stuck with it?
