I finally got useful input on my cardboard stand thanks to a random comment

Someone at the hardware store said my mockup looked like a mail sorter, not a phone holder, and they were right. I redrew the slot angle and it actually holds the phone now. Anyone else get better feedback from strangers than from the people you ask directly?
