I finally bought a hot glue gun for my mockups and it changed how fast I iterate
Spent $18 on a cheap cordless glue gun after fighting with tape and wire for months. Taped prototypes kept falling apart during testing, so I was rebuilding every time. Now I can slap together a decent stand or hinge in 10 minutes instead of 20. My first week with it, I tested 4 different shelf bracket shapes in one day. Tape would have taken me all week. Anyone else use hot glue on cardboard, or am I the only one who waited forever to buy one?

The "rebuilding every time" part really hit home for me. I put off buying one for ages because it felt like a craft supply instead of a real tool, but once I got one I was kicking myself. Cardboard and hot glue hold way better than people give them credit for, and peeling a joint apart to try a new shape takes two seconds. I keep a little dish of cold water nearby for my fingers because I still burn myself constantly. The 10 minutes vs 20 thing is no joke either, it adds up fast when you're testing several versions in one sitting.
