Why I stopped using monthly spreads in my bullet journal

I was at my kitchen table in Nashville last October, flipping through 3 months of unused monthly pages, and realized I'd wasted over an hour setting them up. Now I just go straight to dailies with a future log on one page, and honestly my system flows way better without that middle layer. Has anyone else dumped monthlies and found it actually works?

Yeah that "wasted over an hour" part hit home for me, ditched monthly spreads last spring and haven't looked back.

Trashed my monthlies last spring too, @avery366. Figured out I was just decorating pages instead of actually planning. My bujo went from art project to functional tool real fast.
