When I quit tracking every single thing in my bujo
I used to fill my bullet journal with notes on every little habit, from morning routines to TV time. My old spreads were packed with boxes I felt I had to check off each day. After a few months, I saw it was making me anxious just to open the book. So I cut back and only mark down stuff like my workout days and meal plans now. My bujo feels like a friend again, not a boss hanging over me. Flipping through those early pages, I laugh at how hard I was on myself for no reason.

Man, I feel this so hard. I did the same thing, tracking my water intake and screen time and even how many hours I slept, and it just became this awful chore. What finally worked for me was moving all those tiny habits to a single running list in the back, so they weren't staring me in the face every morning. Now my daily log just has my three big things, and I use a simple dot for them instead of a box I can fail to check. It stopped feeling like a report card. Your bit about it feeling like a friend again is exactly right, that's the goal.

Totally get it. That report card feeling is the worst. I started just writing "water" in my log, no number. If I drank some, good. Same with making my bed. Just a quick scribble, not a box to fail. Turns the whole thing from a judge into a simple note. Lets the tool help you instead of grading you.
