Started doing weekly spreads in pencil first before ink and it totally changed how I lay things out
Used to just go straight in with my favorite pen but after one too many smudged erasures last month I tried mapping everything out lightly in pencil and now I actually leave room for the stuff that comes up midweek instead of cramming it in the margins, anyone else switch up their process like that for a simple reason?

not to be that person but pencil erasers can actually smudge worse than pens if you press too hard.

Pressing hard just means you're grinding lead deeper into the paper.
