A whole cup on a Tuesday spread... that's like ruining the whole week at once. My planner would be a brown puddle with all the ink running together. I can just picture the coffee soaking through the Monday boxes and into the notes section. That's the kind of disaster that makes you just close the book and walk away.

Spilled a full mug on my tax papers last year. The whole thing looked like a sad brown paper bag.

Man, @quinn_kim45, that's the worst. I read this article once about how coffee stains are basically a permanent dye on paper. It said the tannins bind to the fibers, so you can't just wipe it off. I had a library book get rained on and the pages dried all wavy and stiff, like a weird brown potato chip. Makes you want to just give up and start the whole pile over from scratch.
