Overheard a bullet journal fan at a coffee shop say she only uses one pen for everything

I've been switching between like five different markers and highlighters each week, but after hearing that I tried just my black Pilot G2 for a whole month and my spreads actually look cleaner now, anyone else tried going minimal like that?

Went down to one black ballpoint and actually finished a whole notebook for once.

Hold up, did you actually finish a whole notebook? Like every single page? Or did you leave a few blank pages at the end because you started a new one? I always get to like page 80 out of 100 and then just toss it because it feels "done" but it isn't really. What was the last thing you wrote in it before you closed it for good?

Ugh that's the best feeling. My trick is to keep the pen in my bag and just force myself to use only that one for everything - grocery lists, notes, everything. You ever try that?
