My friend saw my messy weekly spread and said 'Why not just use a ruler?'

We were at the library in Madison last week, and I was flipping through my journal to find a note when she pointed at my wobbly lines. I told her I liked the 'organic' look, but she handed me her metal ruler and said to try it for just one layout. Has anyone else had a simple tool suggestion completely change how you set up a page?

My friend did the same thing with my habit tracker. I was drawing these lopsided grids for months. Borrowed her ruler once and now I can't go back, the clean lines just make everything look so much clearer.

Okay but you said you borrowed her ruler once. That means you gave it back, right? So how are you still making the clean lines? Did you end up buying your own ruler after trying hers? Because that's the real game changer, having the tool for yourself. Just borrowing it once wouldn't fix your grids for good.
